     founed their empire when they

 

     came across an eagel eating snake

 

     while perched on a fruit-bearing

 

     cactus. They named the place

     

         their capital, Tenochtitlan.

• The Aztec's language was Nahuatl.
• The Aztec's main food source was maize. 
• The Aztec's most famous custom was human sacrifice.
• The Aztec's boys could either go to a calmecac or a cuicacalli.
• The Aztec's art had a religious meaning.
