Time Period And Location:
The Nazca people lived from about 1,100 B.C. untill about A.D. 450. They lived along the dry coast of Southern Peru in the Rio Grande De Nazca and in the Ica Valley.
Foods:
The Nazca people had a varied diet. The Nazca people eat different types of food. The Nazca people had a farming system, they farmed coca and gourds. They raised and used llamas for carrying goods as well as ate the llamas and guinea pigs. Nazca people ate maize, sqaush, beans, peanuts, fish, sweet potatoes, manioc, and achira.

Art:
The Nazca peoples best art was pottery, that is what they are known for. They use at least used 15 different types of colors. The Nazca used post-fire painting and pre-fire slip painting, that marked the end of the Paracasstyle pottery and the beginning of Nazca style pottery. Pre-fire slip painting meant they experimented a lot doing slipping before they put in the fire and different slips made different colors. They Nazca had many different pottery shapes including, double-spout bottles, bowls, cups, vases, and effigy forms.

Ritual Practices:
The Nazca people had trophy heads from in battle from the people they have killed. People have debaed about if the trophy heads are a part of war or a part of religionin place of their head. When people were decapitated and buried, there was a head jar put in place of their head. A head jar is a ceramic jar put in place of their head with a human face painted on it.
Textiles:
The Nazca were known for theyre for they're complex textiles also. The textiles made by the Nazca are most likely made by the women from the Nazca culture. They made the textiles out of spun cotton and wool. The textiles were made with a backstrap loom, that is how textiles are made in modern religion. The desert preserved the Nazca and Paracas textiles. A lot textiles from the Nazca culture are garments that are included with the items in the grave. Almost every dead body found from the Nazca culture are wrapped and somtimes partically in a grave as a part of the burial ritual.

The Nazca Lines:
The Nazca lines are a series of geometric shapes, it is miles of lines, and large drawings of animals, these were made in the desert in the Nazca region. There has been many theories about the Nazca lines, some people think that man couldn't draw lines that big. But what really happened is a very large group made these lines which makes it possible. It would gave been more possible if the Nazca people constructed the lines. These lines are all over the desert. You can see the lines at a high altitude because of the contrast of the red desert pebbles.
