The origins of the toltec is not very well known because they didnt have a writing system of recording their history.  But what we do know that they probably appeared between 800 C.E. and 900 C.E.  They built the city of Tollan North of Mexico City.

The Toltecs didnt have a specific language but there was many tribes so many languages were spoken, but the most common language was probably Nahuatl.This was the language of the Aztecs.  

They ate corn, rabbits, dogs, fruit from cacti, beans, and squash. They also ate the poeple that they sacrificed.

The toltecs worshiped many gods, but their main god was Quetzacoatl. Quetzacotal's icon was a fethered serpent dressed in a dress with a red cross on the front. He was a diety of fertility and the wind. The other god was Tezcatlipoca. He was known as a smoked mirror
